Profound huh? If you are like me, you have seen at least one episode of Dr. Phil, read self help books, or participated in a retreat about “Being Your Authentic Self”, but what if all this rhetoric is wrong, and the true answer to finding your purpose is to Not be yourself. I have decided to take my own personal journey of Not being myself by not following my gut and not making the choices my authentic self would make. What’s the worst that can happen? For almost 48 years, I have followed my gut and made choices that I thought were right at the time , but if following my gut and making pretty good decisions lead to the life I really want, then why would I be listening to self help gurus tell me the pillars to a perfect life. Better yet, why would I do something so not like myself and write a weekly blog consisting of all the different activities or conversations I plan to partake in to Not be myself? Stay tuned…

    My interest is peaked! I am very intrigued to see what types of activities you will participate in or what conversations you will entertain to stretch yourself out of your current comfort zone and normal “be-yourself” type behavior! Bring it on!
